A Milestone Achieved...

30th September 2011, it was a monumental day for me... it was the day of completion of the most interesting project of my career ... :-) many people would think it rather amusing that how can one regard the significance of days according to her projects, but that’s the way it has always been for me... many reasons were behind my formidable passion for this project, one of them being that it was my first project as a real team lead, otherwise before that I had been just toying with the idea... then, it was a whole technology shift for me and my team... finally, to add icing on the cake, I ended up getting rather satisfied with mine and my team's work; a satisfaction level that was very hard for me to achieve; as I’m hardly ever satisfied with my work...

I can’t say about the other stakeholders of this project, but can say about myself with surety that I’ve actually grown as this project progressed... I learned an endless array of things -both technical and non-technical- since this project commenced in April 2011....

During the project, sometimes I actually got hopeless or disappointed or simply tired by the continuous effort, but now, when I think of it, I don’t actually mind any of the late sittings or nights that I spent on researching for this project; I rather cherish them... as I don’t think that I will ever again get any likes of this project where you can work on whole new stack of BI suite, plus new tool for BPM; not to mention the rule engine that we explored in this project.. all tools being those that nobody in our team had ever heard of. .. and we actually had the luxury of time to learn them unlike the case with most of the projects...

Anyways, to cut the matters short... I’m happy so thought to right my thoughts down... It’s my personal happiness and my personal achievement regardless of feedback from my seniors... :p

I do hope to work in more challenging projects in future...

School Song...

Today, I was having some small talk with my younger sister, and she just teased me about being a part of school chorus.. and suddenly it all came back to me... I was part of it from class 3, we sang what we called 'School Song' at that time, and I practically grew up singing that.. :D (I mean, I was part of it till class 9th, i think).. anyways, so with those memories I longed to remember the words that sounded so sweet at that time.. after thinking long and hard, i could just remember the first stanza and a single line from second one.. needless to say , that it got into my mind, and i couldnt push it out of my mind.. just wanted the lyrics at any cost.. :D
In the end, I got them from my school's community on Orkut.. and I was overjoyed to see that... :)
Now, im sharing that School Song here, for two purposes,
1- I don't forget it again.. !!
2- Someone else might find it enlightning.. :P

So, here I'm sharing it.. in the hope that I will try to follow it now.. :) In school, I used to sing it without thinking about significance of these words, but now when I'm writing those here, I truly mean what I'm writing... :)

Where Have I Been?

well, have been pretty much busy.,... have been poking my nose here and there for a while now...
started organizing a table tennis tournament in office... became part of a Microsoft users community... had to write a research paper... had to take classes of 2nd semester... had to do the office work...
Well... I guess , it explains all.. :)
In this schedule, although I dont get time for Solitude.. neither does it suit me... Still I liked this poem, that Im posting... :)

SOLITUDE

An evening spent

Crowded in my skin

Last Exam of 1st Semester

finally, the exams are over at 9th March.. was much tired to write a blog entry here... well, still am.. coz started office after no break.. and the usual hectic routine and stuff...

this week my mood kept swinging on and off... and got angry at a couple of people.. and got 'Close to fight' with another two or three... :D anyways, may be was due to tiredness.. will get back to ground state on this weekend inshAllah... :)

well, have to go to uni tomorrow to complete my review paper.. so lets hope for some rest this weekend.. :(

My First Exam

today was my first paper of MS.... well, tried to study for 2 whole days.. and the paper contained just 2 questions that were open ended... well, can't say how did it go... at best thew weren't what I expected, and at worst, they were the last questions that I expected... :D.. anyways, two more papers to go.. lets hope for the best for them...

Trip to Head Baloki and Wild Park

Today, we went on an office trip to Wild Park and Head Baloki... It was sheer fun, first went to wild park, I don't remember the exact name of the place right now, but it was something like a wild park plus a farm house... a lot of handiwork was there... almost everything was made out of carved wood... overall the whole place was awesome.. :) well, had lunch there, played badminton a lot... (I had been longing to play it for quite some time now... :) ) after lunch went to head baloki, had a motor boat ride there, played some more... then came back to the wild park.. in the evening preparation started for BBQ, meanwhile we played once more... :D

Anyways, after being dead tired, rushed for the BBQ, had fun there... After that started packing up things, and left for home... :)

Overall, it was a day full of fun and enjoyment... I am really thrilled today... :)

Baqr Eid

This has been a long weekend, because of Baqr Eid.. The day on which we follow the tradition of sacrifice set by our prophet Ibrahim (A.S).... Well, enjoyed alot on this occasion, had 3 days full of guests, meals and enjoyment... Time just slipped away, and didn't get a moment of rest or anything... and now, from tomorrow the same routine will be again started...

Overall it was great occasion, but I do wish, that I had got some moments of peace

and relaxation....

One more thing, thats bothering me today is that my cousin and one of the best friends is going back to England today... and I'm very sad to realize that I couldn't give her proper time... couldn't even hangout with her... :( thats the drawback of this hectic routine... and I know that she would be angry at me... :(

hmmm... Nothing else new right now... just need to focus on my studies as well, i've been neglecting them for a while now...

Mehreen's Wedding

Today, I attended Mehreen's Barat, it was really fun... Saba, Munteha, Nisa, Mehreen B, Saima, Humaira, Basma and Sahar came, and together we enjoyed alot... took loads and loads of snaps... Mehreen was looking really nice MA... May she always be happy and blessed..!! :) Amen

Going to sleep now, have had a very busy and tiring day today.,..

A joyful day... :)

It was Mehreen's Mehndi ceremony today... It was sheer fun..Almost all the girls from office came..and we enjoyed alot.. :) just reached back home.. now working on the assignment.... looking forward to attending the Barat tomorrow.. :)

Another day has gone...

Nothing special happened today, except that i thought that i had Theory of Computation lecture today, while it was yesterday.. :(
Anyways, a long and tiring day is about to end... here in office atleast... have to make an assignment after reaching home.. so lets see...
